Santa Fe is a town that eats dinner late and is in bed by midnight. The nightlife is concentrated on Canyon Road (gallery crawls until 9), the Plaza (a handful of bars), and the Railyard district (the main post-dinner drinks spot).

Bar Alto inside La Fonda on the Plaza has the serious cocktail program. Secreto Lounge at Hotel St. Francis does a regional-ingredient bar menu. Tiny's — the cocktail lounge on Cerrillos — is the real late-night hang, open until 1 AM, dive-bar atmosphere at its honest best.

For live music, Meow Wolf's House of Eternal Return venue books shows, and the Santa Fe Bandstand runs free evening concerts on the Plaza in summer. Bars close by 2 AM statewide; most venues lock up earlier.
